Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the Turkish translation process of RDA Reference and to highlight the linguistic and structural challenges. The translation process revealed planning issues, terminological inconsistencies, inconsistencies among translators, semantic problems caused by structural differences between English and Turkish, and difficulties in translating the technical language of the terms in RDA Reference. Furthermore, additional challenges are familiarity with the terminology of language experts, and language proficiencies of librarians. Based on these issues, the study offers several recommendations for future translation efforts. The results are expected to contribute to similar processes and guide forthcoming translation initiatives.
